Our communal land in Mt Tabor requires our stewardship. We are focusing, in part, on our pond and woodland trail areas which are facing several serious threats. Restoring this area to health is no small task and requires both a long-term commitment as well as knowledge. We are fortunate to have Jean Epiphan, Agriculture & Natural Resources Agent and Assistant Professor, as well as ISA Certified Arborist NJ-1247A and Licensed Tree Expert #692 from the Rutgers Cooperative Extension of Morris County guide us through some preliminary information, strategy, and tactics as well as offer her support.
Please join us in a casual walk around the pond and trail area to assess the current state of this area.
Please stay tuned to Facebook, signs posted around town, this site, and your email for more information and for the exact time of this walk-through which remains TBD.
